Bio-Nucleonics' Cardiac hybrid device will provide clinics, hospitals and radiopharmacies with a dose-dispensing system for cardiac perfusion imaging (stress tests) using a PET or PET/CT scanner. The Company filed for FDA marketing clearance in January of 2008 and anticipates approval in 2009.

The Device is utilized in a department of nuclear medicine, adjacent to a PET scanner or can be mounted in a mobile PET scanner and has the capability of producing Rb-82 on-site at the hospital or in a mobile PET scanner. Short-lived Rubidum-82 (1.2 Minute Half-Life) is eluted from Strontium- 82 (25 Day half-life).
